so, we have family that i’ve never even met before over for dinner. my sister comes downstairs and sits next to me at the dinner table, and then this aunt comes over to put food down, looks at her, and then says “This daughter is prettier!” Okay, wow. so are you stupid or completely blind? HELLO, i’m right here! Is it ignorance or complete lack of manners or regard to “children” that allows you to compare us like dolls and pick the better one? Maybe it would be okay if you didn’t say it right in front of my face, could you have like announced your totally uncalled for opinion somewhere private? It’s not like i care that you think she’s prettier than me, it’s that you chose to flagrantly say it out loud with total disregard for my feelings. Like i’m nothing but something my mother and father produced. Like you get to judge how i look. And then you go on and compare me to my dad, saying “You two look alike!” Excuse me, but since i’m the uglier one in your opinion, you’ve just implied that my dad is also ugly. I’m so glad you left to who-knows-wherever you live. Nice to have you over for dinner.
